Can America Catch-Up With the World in Being Green?
On February 8th, Knovel presented a panel discussion on Green Engineering: Sustainability and Its Impact on Design and Innovation. As you may recall from previous weeks, we’re running a series of blog posts featuring important points from each of the panelists, and telling you how to register to watch the full video, for free, online.
Part 1 — Terry Swack, CEO of Sustainable Minds
Part 2 — Jon Fortune, Manager, California Center for Sustainable Energy
In part 3, Woodrow W. Clark II, Ph.D., Qualitative Economist and Nobel Prize Recipient, Clark Strategic Partners, speaks about how the 3rd Industrial Revolution is already taking place in Europe. Listen as he describes America’s need to catch up because there is no time to transition to being “green.”
Watch the full video to learn what it means to be “green” today, market drivers and the evolution of corporate-level sustainability initiatives. Interesting article. It’s very unfortunate that over the last 10 years, the travel industry has already been able to to deal with terrorism, SARS, tsunamis, influenza, swine flu, and also the first ever real global economic downturn. Through everthing the industry has really proven to be solid, resilient and also dynamic, acquiring new approaches to deal with adversity. There are often fresh problems and opportunities to which the field must just as before adapt and act in response.
