Most interesting person in the world? Christopher Walken

He is crazy, he’s cool, he’s funny, and he’s an excellent dancer.

(Seriously, who knew the man could dance like that? I dare you not to be impressed)

I would love nothing more than to spend this post giving you updates on Walken’s career and then film myself doing a horrible impression. But… since I don’t really know the man, I guess I should just update you on what’s going on with me instead.

Craig vs The Job

Back at the end of January I was laid-off due to changes in the direction our country’s space program. Believe it or not but several months spent entirely on the couch or in front of a computer can get rather old, rather quickly. It’s been a rough time finding work in the aerospace field, but I have good news!

As of Monday the 24th of May I will no longer be unemployed!

With the aid of a new suit, an updated resume, and some excellent tips from my editor here (The guy has some serious interview tips) I was able to land a position at a local Air Force base, doing sustainment work on fighter jets. This is work I won’t be able to talk about (which is really cool in and of itself); however commenting on the aerospace field in general should remain unaffected.

Sadly this meant I had to withdraw my application to be on TV

Craig vs School

Yes I’m still in school. Yes, I’m almost done. A few months ago I had a brain melting test followed up by a several hour oral grilling by my professors in which I was tested on everything I had learned in the past 2 years. It was not a pleasant experience which I luckily won’t have to repeat.

As of now I have one final class which I will be taking over the summer to finish my degree. It’s essentially a fluff class needed only for credit. However there are some hefty writing assignments for the class so I need to stay on my guard to make sure I don’t slack of this final semester.

So it seems that after a few months of turmoil my life is finally starting to settle down and resemble something close to normal. Or at least as normal as a rocket scientist can get. Thanks everyone for sticking with me through these tough past few months!
